Fitness Craze

My sis and I signed up as members of Fitness First about 2 weeks ago in our bid to lose weight and we officially started going last Monday. We went everyday after work and after a 1 1/2-hour workout, hit the showers before heading back home by train. Mum was supposed to join with us but changed her mind as the membership fees are so expensive. She's currently on our guest pass though and has been twice. We havent tried out any of the classes on offer but there's a yoga session tomorrow and we will check that out. I personally would really like to try the Body Combat session as they look really cool. It's a bit daunting though coz they all look like pros and am able to follow instructions whereas I am a klutz and will probably end out sprawled flat on my face. I looOoOove the whole experience. The thrill of counting all those calories that I am able to burn off everyday makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Here's hoping that by the end of the year I'll be able to shop for clothes half the size I wear now. KL shopping here we come!

Was chatting with elder sis and she told me how she was 'informed' by my baby nephew that he wants her to buy him a new small toy car. I was like...huh? excuse me?? he can talk? and she was like"..no..he still talks in his own language but I understand..it's parent's instinct" (at this point an image of her and the baby trying to make sense of what each other was saying popped into mind x_x) She went on to explain that my nephew woke up in a really good mood that morning and was happily playing with his toy cars (how come baby boys know that they should play with cars and not dolls?? has it been programmed into their subconciousness from embryo-hood?) but when he couldnt get one of the cars to go through the hole of a ladder, he lost his temper, threw the car away and went to his toy storage box to search for smaller cars. Failing to find any, he started bawling and showed my sis that there's no small cars available (I know..my sis is psychic..if he'd shown me the box crying I'd have thought that he peed in it) Anyway, my brother in-law promised to buy him one and all's well in the end. That sounds fun-ner than playing mystery games on the net rite?

p/s: sis accidentally said 'delivious' instead of delicious one time so now it's stored in our dictionary as a bad for you but scrumptious foods. Delivious = Devil + Delicious

Vain Ol' Vain Ol'

*sigh* Today had been hectic. 2 meetings in a day but luckily they were quite brief. I wont go into detail about the meetings and I normally dont talk about work as I feel that I would be breaking a code of conduct or something. A site meeting tomorrow morning (I hate site meetings..wish I could do away with those..well, I hate meetings in general), an internal meeting on wednesday and a possible meeting this week to present our restaurant fit-outs design. *double sigh* Tired just from thinking about them and it's only Monday! Anyway, the week would probably fly by which may be a good thing. I need a break!!!

I have to take my bath but am procrastinating as today is my hair washing day. Being a girl is a pain at times like this. To give you an idea I would list down my ritual ; put on cleansing milk and massage all over made-up face - sponge off - wash face with cleanser - shower - shampoo hair - wash - put on conditioner - rinse off - rub on body shampoo - shower - rub hair dry and tie a turban - put on body lotion (sometimes) - put hair gel on hair - blow dry - use toner on face - put on moisturiser. Hiuh..long list huh. All that takes at least half an hour. By the time I am done I am almost ready for bed. Better get cracking then. >_~..

Lovely Prayer..

Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day,
I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
And give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who don't know You intimately.
But I thank You that I believe that God changes people and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers.
For each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes; that they are out of debt and all their needs are met I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it in Jesus' name. Amen!

Friday!

Today had been fun. I took the bus down to chinatown to meet my mum, sis and bro for dinner after work. Mum had to get her chest x-ray done for her visa extension application and it costs around aud 90. All in all I think we spent not less than aud300+ for her visa. Hmm..I think it's all worth it if she can stay with us till end of the year.
The infamous 'nice looking' steamed chicken with chinese sausage and mushroom
All the 3 dishes we ordered

We went to one of our favourite chinese restaurant and ordered 3 dishes. A salt and pepper egg plant (Yummy! It's fried but fluffy..really delicious), a steamed chicken with mushroom and chinese sausage (nice presentation but doesnt taste that nice..too plain) and a peking fried pork ribs (quite nice too). Our neighbouring table saw the chicken, thought it looked nice and ordered the same dish. Tempted to tell them it only 'looks' nice but I didnt ..so there. I'll post up the photos once my bro has uploaded them. We didnt order a lot as we always cant finish everything and my brother has started to complain that we've turned him into a garbage bin. It's true..we would shove all leftovers to him and now he refuses to listen to our pleas. I dont know why but my weird family has the habit of leaving a piece of food on each plate.

I found a few eye make up tutorials on youtube and am itching to try them out. I've never actually put on eye shadows before as it seemed troublesome. The most I do is put on eyeliners. Now that I've seen the tutorials, they dont seem that hard! But first I want to get all the brushes that they use! Shopping time!
